Mr. Kelley, 85, of Pineville passed away Thursday, December 04, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.
The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Frank was a loving husband and a wonderful father. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and visiting with his family. He was a loyal member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Mr. Kelley was a graduate of LSU where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. While he was in the Marines, he participated in the atomic bomb testing in the Nevada desert. During his working career Mr. Kelley worked as a forester for International Paper Co. for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Guy and Lucille DeBlieux Kelley; brother, Pat Kelley, and sister, Lillian Giering.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Joan Evans Kelley of Pineville, son, Francis Guy Kelley, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Pineville; daughters, Sherry Kelley Rachal and husband, Eugene of Silsbee, Texas, Kathy Kelley Hughes and husband, Paul Chad of Bossier City, Shelia Kelley Rudzinski and husband, Brandt of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Garrett, Ashley, Grace Hughes; Zachary and Jacob Rachal, Brayden, Bryce, and Rachael Rudzinski.
