Elaine Brewer, 85, of Omaha, formerly of Ravenna, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Congregational Church in Ravenna. The Rev. Tim Ammerman and the Rev. Doug DeNeui will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery at Ravenna.
Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brewer was born Dec. 19, 1920, at Litchfield to Fred and Gertie (Duncan) Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Jack" Brewer, on April 12,
1982.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter, Sherill Teichmeier of Gretna, and a brother, Earl Douglas of Ravenna.
Additional survivors include three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was educated in Ravenna and graduated from Ravenna High School. She married Charles "Jack" Brewer on July 19, 1943, at Brewster. The couple made their home in Ravenna. She worked at Henningson Foods in Ravenna.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Ravenna Good Samaritan Center.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
