Mr. Murl Welch of Ada, Oklahoma passed away December 27, 2013 at the age of 90 years in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Murl was born November 28, 1923 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to his parents Burl and Trixie (Ragsdale) Welch.
Murl resided most of his life in California while residing in Ada, Oklahoma for the last 13 years along with his wife Pearline. In his earlier years Murl served his country faithfully in the United States Maries Corp. He and Pearline Colbert married June 18, 1974 . Murl was known to his family and friends as a tinkerer. He enjoyed rebuilding anything that was broken or worn. Murl also along with his wife enjoyed square dancing and listening to county music. He has a collection of over 300 tapes and cds. Murl loved life and all that it had to offer.
Although he is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include: wife:
Pearline Welch, 4 daughters: Glenna Cecchini, Carla Roop, Patricia Silva, Cynthia Welch, 1 son: Carl Welch, 6 step children: Pearleta Looney, Sonny Looney, Lois Puckett, Earl Looney, Kenneth Looney, Donny Looney, 1 twin brother: Earl Welch, 1 sister: Sadie Wells and a host of longtime friends and neighbors.
Murl is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
A graveside memorial will be held 1:00 PM, Monday January 13, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
