Robert Dean Charles William Easton was born on October 26, 1982 in Mattoon, a son of Robert “Bob” and Teresa (Furry) Easton. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Easton of Mattoon; two brothers, Todd Easton and wife Kelly and Matthew Easton, both of Charleston; his grandfather, Bill Furry and wife Julia of Charleston; a niece, Maddison Easton and a nephew, Case Easton; an aunt, Jahala Lowe and husband Terry of Greenville, SC; an uncle, David Easton and wife Christie of Mattoon; and two very special friends, Ivan and Cindy Jess of Arcola,IL. Robby was previously employed as an accountant with United Graphics in Mattoon. He was a Class of 2000 Charleston High School graduate and received his Bachelors Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. He was a member of the Illinois Wesleyan Alumni Association.

Robby was adventurous! He loved the thrill of drag racing, and his fondness of the outdoors encouraged his hobbies of mountain climbing and biking, and adding to his rock collection, an eight year project in the making. He loved to travel, especially to wild natural areas and to the mountains in particular, but also found contentment hiking or backpacking through forests, deserts or on beaches. He was an avid reader with interests in history, science and philosophy. Coaching the Mattoon American Legion Post 88 baseball team was more than a hobby – it was an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of his young players. Robby was extremely well mannered and one that everyone liked and respected – he had a wealth of friends. There is a saying that Robby liked and shared: “Do not cry because it ended, but smile because it happened."
