Jo Ellen (Tunis) Gregory, 57, passed away on Thursday morning, December 4th, 2014 at her residence in Whiteland.
She was born on November 14, 1957 in Franklin to Jack Dean and Susan Talbott (Skinner) Tunis. They survive in Franklin.
She married Richard D. “Rick” Gregory on December 8, 2006. He lovingly survives in Whiteland. Jo is also survived by one son, David (Melissa) Tunis of Franklin; step-daughter, Brittany (Charlie) Breckenridge of Greenfield; step-son, Chris (Nicole) Griffin of New Jersey; step-son, Kevin (Stephanie) Schrand of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren; Isiah Tunis, Addison Tunis, John Breckenridge, Liam Griffin, Colin Griffin and Bevin Griffin; brothers, Jack (Jan) Tunis of Whiteland and Tom (Jayme) Tunis of Whiteland and sister, Susan Rogers of Whiteland. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, Carolynn Friddle and Patty (Bill) Cummings; brother-in-law, Bob (Carolyn) Gregory and many nieces and nephews.
Jo was a 1976 graduate of Whiteland High School. She was employed by K-Mart in Greenwood for twenty-five years. She was a member of Tri Kappa Epsilon Rho Sorority. She enjoyed the Arts and was very good at making ceramics. Jo enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially the grandchildren.
A celebration of Jo’s life will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Monday, December 8th, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
