Double funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ellen Haney, 52, Deaver, and her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Farrell, 51, Cut Bank, Mont. were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Deaver auditorium with the Rev. Sam Day of the Methodist church officiating.
Pall bearers were Ralph Campbell, Floyd Wells, Alec Reinhardt, Squire Dillon, Hiram Beaver and Corrie Lovercheck.
Mrs. Haney was buried in the Deaver cemetery. Mrs. Farrell was sent to Cut Bank for brief services and burial. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Margaret Ellen Haney was born Mar. 14, 1912, in Weston, Ore., the daughter of William D. and Ortha Ray, now of Deaver. She was married June 30, 1938 to Eldon Arthur Haney in Billings. He preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1962.
She was a member of the Deaver Methodist church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was serving as worthy matron of Bethany Chapter No. 33.
Surviving are three sons, William of Deaver, George of Basin, and Daniel, stationed with the Marines in California; a daughter, Judy, 8, of Deaver, a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Winter of Cody; her parents of Deaver; two brothers, William Ray of Conrad, Mont. and Maurice Ray of Missouri; a sister, Mrs. Lester Kruse of Cut Bank, Mont and three grandchildren.
