Charles Leroy Childress passed away at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.

SON OF:
Elza & Delphia Mabel (Kessinger) Childress.

He was a retired bus driver for the City of Louisville.

MILITARY:
He served his country honorably and was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Korea.

He was a member of Highland Park Masonic Lodge #865.

SURVIVORS:
One son: Kendall Childress; one daughter: Deanna Ashby; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four brothers: Howard Childress, Newman Childress, Thomas Childress and Mike Childress; three sisters: Faye Johnston, Helen Sanders and Janice Willis; and many extended family members and friends.

PREDECEASED BY:
His parents; two brothers: Ronnie Gene Childress and Bill Childress; and two sisters: Wilma Jean Childress and Barbara Day.

SERVICES:
Funeral services held December 6, 2014, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial held December 8, 2014.
