Funeral services for Marshall E. Gordon, 94, formerly of Mohawk Road, Newville, where he lived with Raymond and Carol Bailey for 40 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Egger Funeral Home, 15 Big Spring Ave., Newville. He died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2003, in Swaim Health Center.
Born Feb. 5, 1908, in Newville, he was a son of the late Lamuel and Lulu Simpson Gordon.
Mr. Gordon was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He also retired from Upper Frankford Township.
He was a life member of Minneque Club of Shippensburg and a social member of the Carlisle VFW Post. He loved animals and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth of Waynesboro and Merrill of Newville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Backenstoes and Kathryn O'Hara.
Burial will be in Newville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
