PRIVATE HENRY ACKERMAN
Private Henry Ackerman died on Tuesday in the United State Debarkation Hospital, Staten Island, following an attack of pneumonia which he contracted on board the Mauretania, returning from France on Monday.
He was born in Brooklyn twenty-five years ago, and is survived by his mother, Agatha; four brothers, Gerhard, George, Conrad and Otto, and five sisters, Katherine, Johanna, Mrs. Antonetta Keller, Mrs. Martha Esche and Mrs. Hattie Folkmann.
He was in Aero Squadron No. 268 while in France. He was
a member of Ethan Allen Council/No. 60, Jr. O. U. A. M.
The funeral will be held from his late home, 26 Varick Street, Greenpoint, on Saturday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Henry Bran, of St. Luke's Reformed Church in Sutton street officiating. Interment in the family plot at Lutheran Cemetery under direction of John K. Weigand, of 207 Nassau Avenue.
