Antholz, William "Bud"

William "Bud" Antholz a former resident of New Holstein died Monday, December 1st, 2014 at the Houston Hospice Center, Houston, TX.

William was born on September 24, 1932 to the late William and Viola (Polster) Antholz Sr. He was a 1950 graduate of Mishicot High School. On October 22, 1969 he married the former Beatrice M. Swetlik at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Manitowoc. In 1952 William enlisted in the United States Air Force. After basic training, he was assigned to Chanute Air Force Base, IL in the in the field of Aircraft Reciprocating Engine Mechanic Training. In his maintenance career field, as a crew chief, enabled him to travel world wide. He received his honorable discharge in 1979 at Dover Air Force Base, DE. In his spare time, William enjoyed photography, carpentry, dancing, music and RV traveling.

Survivors include his wife: Beatrice Antholz, New Holstein; 9 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law: Marjorie Antholz, Evans, GA; Elaine (Leroy) Olson; Sharon Swetlik; Quirin "Harold" (Jan) Swetlik Jr.; Nancy (Ron) Staudinger; Dale (Lynn) Swetlik; Al Swetlik and Susan Phillips, all of Manitowoc; Florence Fredrick, East Dundee, IL; Janice Wanek, Appleton, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a special friend: Verna Hubenak, El Campo, TX. William was preceded in death by his parents: William and Viola Antholz Sr.; one brother: George Antholz; one sister: Carol Smith; three brothers-in-law: Fulton Smith, Leroy Swetlik, Byron Swetlik; one sister-in-law: Barbara Swetlik; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Quirin and Eleanor Swetlik.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Klein will officiate with full military honors accorded by Otto-Oas VFW Post #659 of Manitowoc at the Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
