Betty Daratt, 90, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab.
She was born July 23, 1924 in Denver, Colo., to Ruby and John Cadzow.
She married Melvin Daratt on Feb. 2, 1942, at Sedan, Kan. They moved to Big Spring in 1948 from Kansas.
She was chief supervisor of the PBX operators and Webb Air Force Base. After Webb closed she worked for two years at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo. She then transferred to the VAMC in Big Spring until retirement. She was a member of Baptist Temple.
She is survived by one son, Ron Daratt of Muleshoe, Texas; one daughter, Peggy Daratt and her husband ,David Campbell, of Big Spring; son-in-law, Tom Bost of Mooresville, N.C.; two grandsons; one brother, Ray Menges and his wife, Olnee, of Big Spring; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pam Bost; two granddaughters; one brother, Bud Cadzow; and two sisters, Marrietta Creshaw and Margaret Easter.
