Rev. Timothy Gordon, 54, went to be with this Lord Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.

Visitation will be Friday, December 5th from 5-8 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 6th at 1:00 PM with one hour visitation prior to the service at Jesus Name Tabernacle in Richland. Burial will follow at Jesus Name Tabernacle Cemetery.

Rev. Gordon was a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle where he was a Senior Minister and a Teacher. He worked for Exide as a machinist for 12 years and spent the last 10 years at Jackson Neurology. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Rankin County Committee. He was a loving husband and father and was the Rock and Mentor of his family.

Rev. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Helen Gordon; stepmother, Rebecca Gordon; and his brother, Duane Gordon. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diane Gordon of Richland; daughter, Sarah (Samuel) Gordon Teeples of Richland; brothers, Scotty (Lana) Gordon of Richland and their children Hannah and Shelby, and Donald (Patti) Gordon of Richland and their children Camille and Claire; the Jesus Name Tabernacle Family and a host of friends.
