Funeral services for Hazel Ann Brewer will be held Friday, April 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Okemah. Burial is to follow at the Schoolton Cemetery in Seminole County.
Hazel Ann Brewer was born March 10, 1923, in Tuskegee, Okla. to Earl and Emma Irons. She passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Oklahoma City at the age of 83.

Hazel was a longtime resident of the Cromwell area. She was saved and baptized in the Castle Baptist Church in 1953 and was currently attending the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Cromwell.

Hazel and Tillman Eugene "Gene" Brewer were married July 7, 1945 in Okemah; he later preceded her in death on June 9, 1995.

She was a devoted homemaker and love to crochet and garden.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, Earl Irons and Emma (Blevins) Irons; two brothers, Merton and John Irons; one sister, Frankie Marshall; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Steve Brewer and wife, Cheryl, of Okemah; one step-son, Dale Brewer and wife, Edna, of Broken Arrow; three daughters, Carlis Flowers and husband, James, of Okemah, Earlene Roper and husband, Jerry, of Seminole, and Ruth Dennison and husband, Bryan, of Shawnee; one brother, Raymond Irons and wife, Ruby, of Okmulgee; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Dr. Roger Thompson.
