JENNINGS Janet Mildred Tadlock, widow of Dr. Rienzi Wilson Jennings, died on Jan 11, 2014 at Richmond Place Apartments. A Lexington native, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Clark and Annie Sharp Tadlock. She was a former teacher and had held teaching positions in Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee. The major part of her teaching career was at the University of Memphis where she was a supervising teacher in their laboratory school for teacher training, a position she held for fourteen years. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with AB and MA degrees. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Woman's Club of Central Kentucky, Bryan Station Chapter of D.A.R., Spindletop Hall, and the University of Memphis Honor Society. She was an honorary member of the Phi Gamma Nu Society and an honor member of the University of Memphis Faculty Wives Club. She is survived by a number of cousins including Margaret Sharp Sames, Lexington; a daughter-in-law, Martha M. Jennings, Memphis, TN; and a granddaughter, Chali Suzeanne Jennings, Greece. Funeral service will be on Thursday, 11am, Central Christian Church with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation, Wednesday, 5-8pm, Milward-Broadway.
