Norma Barrett Chasteen Cochran, 75, of Berea, died Monday, December 1, 2014 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. She was a life-long resident of Madison County, born January 23, 1939, daughter of the late A. J. and Helen Bullens Barrett, homemaker and member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include 3 children, Lisa (Don) Foster, Bill (Marilyn) Chasteen, Darrell Chasteen; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Barrett.
Funeral Service 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Reppert Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Scaffold Cane Cemetery in Rockcastle County. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ambrose, Aaron Ambrose, Bruce Chasteen, Anthony Chasteen, Kyle Chasteen, Chase Burrows.
