He was born April 28, 1955, at Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Robert "Bob" and Dale Burrow Puryear.
Sande was an engineer for GlaxoSmithKline for 38 years. He was a member and trustee of Immanuel Baptist Church in Marion and was a Master Mason and a member of York and Scottish Rites.
Survivors include his loving wife, Diane Lynn Puryear; a son, Jerry (Erin) Puryear of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Thomas Sande Puryear, Cora Bay Puryear and Hazel May Puryear; two sisters, Lynn (Stanley) Colquitt of Marion and Terry Sitcler of Harrisburg; and his in-laws, Clyde and Anna Lynn Gray of Jonesboro.
Arrangements were by the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Funeral services were at the First Baptist Church in Weiner with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Weiner.
