April 5, 2006:

Lovett, Roy E. devoted father and loyal friend died Saturday morning at the age of 64.
He loved his children and grandchildren.

He enjoyed books, music, the outdoors, and keeping busy with a multitude of projects.

Roy attended Capitol High School, served in the U.S. Marine Corps, owned and operated for several years Ginny's Pub, worked as a tile mason, retired from Tinker Field Air Force Base, and worked part-time at a local land field.

He has lived in Newcastle for the last 37 years.

He is survived by his children, Roy V. Lovett of Newcastle, John E. Smith of Las Vegas, Alicia and her husband Terry McCullar and their children Tyler, Bailey, and Braxton of Tecumseh, and Julia and her husband Dustin Penrod and their daughter Addison of Moore.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., today, April 5, 2006 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, S.W. 104th & Walker, Oklahoma City, with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
