Judith Leyton Colvin McKee, 66, was called home to be with her Lord & Savior on Sun., Nov. 30, 2014. Judy was from Lincolton, GA, born to the late Leyton & Addis Colvin. Her father, a Lincoln Co. School Superintendent, died before Judy turned 2. Judy was raised by her mother, also a Lincoln Co. School Superintendent & Houston Co. School System Director of Curriculum. After graduating from Perry High in 1966, Judy followed in her parent's educational footsteps. She attended the University of Georgia earning a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. While teaching, she continued her education by earning a Master's Degree in Education from Georgia Southwestern. Judy spent 29 of her 32 years of teaching at Miller Elementary, WR. Teaching children to read was her specialty. Judy loved watching birds, dancing & her church. Judy was also crowned Miss Americus, GA in 1968.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Richard McKee, of 29 years; daughter, Virginia Blumberg; son-in-law, Frank Blumberg; her treasured granddaughter, Taylor Blumberg; her aunt, Frances Griffeth; and a host of adoring cousins & close friends. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Fri., Dec. 5, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Warner Robins. The family will receive guests both before & after the service. Burial will be private at Andersonville National Cemetery.
