Funeral services for Rolfe K. McCaffree, 76, will be held on Saturday, June 8, 1974, at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier.
Mr. McCaffree was born Dec. 13, 1897, and was named for the town he was born in, Rolfe, Iowa. He passed away in a Lancaster hospital on June 4, 1974. He had lived in California since 1923, and moved to Mojave about three years ago. He made his home at 459 Luna Lane, in the Homestead area.
Mr. McCaffree retired after 22 years with the Signal Oil Co., and then became the manager of the Rosemead Chamber ofCommerce. In Mojave, he was a member of the Lions Club, the Chamber of Commerce and the Incorporation Committee.
He is survived by his wife, Madge L., at the home; two sons, Joe, of California City, and R. K., Jr., Corona del Mar;two daughters, Barbara Ides, Fountain Valley, and Mary Scott, Modesto; ten grandchildren and four great grandchil dren.
The Rev. Jack Preston, Rosemead, will officiate at the 11: 30 a.m. services in the Memorial Chapel at Rose Hills. Visitation at Stickel Mortuaries Chapel in Mojave will be from 9 a.m. to I 6 p.m. on June 6th; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, on June 7th, and at Rose Hills, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on June 7th.
