Mrs. Hughes was born March 25, 1929 in Sumner County to the late William Arlo and Lady Angeline Key Anderson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Eugene Hughes, and siblings, Hershel Anderson, Elsie Moore, Christine Reece, John Anderson, and Hazel Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Brown (Kenneth) of Gallatin, and grandchildren, Ashley Riggle (Matthew) of Susanville, CA, Christian Brown of Norfolk, VA, and Jordan Brown of Gallatin.
