LA GRANGE | Jimmy Burney Potter, 60, of La Grange passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014. Jimmy was the son of the late Jesse Burney Potter and Annie Antwine Potter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Charlie, and Mike Potter. He was self-employed in the construction business. Survivors include his wife, Carol Potter of the home; sons, Billy Stallings and wife Tracey, J. W. Stallings, Robert Heath and Jamie Stallings and wife Kim; daughters, Candi Cooper and husband Chuck, Brandi Sparrow and husband Mike, Shauna Jones and husband Josh, and Sandy Potter; sisters, Lucille Hooker and husband Gene, Sue Crews and husband Daniel, Dinah Wilson and husband Doug, Jean Rose, Patsy Joyner and husband Dale, and Karen Mobley and husband James; brothers, Jesse Potter and Henry ""Buddy"" Potter; special brother, Chris Byrd and wife Melissa; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Garner Funeral Home with the Reverend Dennis Ledford officiating. Visitation will follow the service and friends are welcome at other times at the home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014, at Westview Cemetery.
