Robert ("Bob") Dean Cunningham passed away on November 24, 2014. Bob (aka "Pa") was born March 18, 1934, in Rosebud, Texas to John Dick and Mary Vera Cunningham. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Childs Cunningham, on March 19, 1954.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father and eight siblings, Hazel Rowan, Dorothy Bennett, Marvin (Dink) Cunningham, Helen Johnston, Margie Lierman, Evelyn Burns, Arden Cunningham, and his twin, Lela Jean.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, brother Richard Elliot Cunningham and wife Ginny, daughter Rebecca Cunningham Glover and husband Randall Keith Glover, son Robert Dean Cunningham, Jr. and wife Cheryl Elmore Cunningham, four grandchildren, Jana Glover Grundy and husband Brant, John Randall Glover and fiancé Cheyanne, Lauren Elizabeth Cunningham, and Robert Grant Cunningham and wife Laura, and four great-grandchildren, Luke Ryan Glover, Alexander Kenneth Grundy, Carson Randall Glover, and Cameron Gage Glover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob worked hard all of his life, beginning with a job at Continental Oil Company, which he left to go into business for himself, and then serving as County Judge for Falls County, retiring after twelve years in that position.
Bob was a strong Christian man, who loved his wife, his family, and his church. He loved to spend time in his garden and was known for his loving, generous heart, often giving food and his time to others.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either East Side Church of Christ, Marlin, Texas (PO Box 1068 Marlin, TX 76661), or Lifeline Chaplaincy (1415 South Moore, Houston, TX 77004 or www.lifelinechaplaincy.org).
