Amy Bonifield Galloway, age 44 of Poplar Bluff passed away on Monday, December 1, 2104 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1970 at Poplar Bluff, the daughter of John Bonifield and the late Martha Forbes Bonifield.
Amy was a 1987 graduate of Twin Rivers High School and received her BS degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1990. Amy graduated from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1998. While in law school she received honors in Trial Advocacy and was awarded Tulane Law Women's Graduate of the Year Award. She was admitted to practice law in North Carolina in 1998 and in Missouri in 1999. Amy practiced law in North Carolina until 2004. She has been practicing law in Missouri since 2004 and is a partner with Spain, Miller, Galloway & Lee, LLC.
She was a member of the Board of Directors for United Cancer Assistance Network (UCAN), Brown Chapel Cemetery and Ozark Family Resource Agency in Doniphan.
Amy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff and also was active at Black River General Baptist Church at Broseley.
Visitation will begin Friday at 5:30 pm at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff with Father David Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
