Philip E. Parker, 84, of Salina, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014. He was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Wamego, the son of John and Gladys (Thompson) Parker.

Philip was a graduate of Kansas State University. He worked as manager in several locations for Farmers Union Co-Op. He was an agriculture consultant for K-State in the Philippine Islands, and after his retirement, was a consultant in agriculture business.

Philip was an avid K-State fan; he enjoyed golf and fishing, and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the American Legion and the VFW.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin; brother, John; and sister, Phyllis Lacey.

The family will greet visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401 with a vigil service at 7 p.m. There is no viewing; cremation was chosen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with private inurnment in the All-Saints Cemetery.
