BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Craig Alan Byrd, 46, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Feb. 27, 1954, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of Woodrow S. Byrd and Mary Virginia Keesecker Byrd.

He was employed by Verizon Telephone Co. in Martinsburg.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1483; and Sons of American Legion Post 60 of Berkeley Springs.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, a sister, a brother,a grandson; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St. in Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Andrew Cooney will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
