Karen Dawn Newton, 66, of Siloam Springs was born and left this life on the same date, Dec. 1. Born Dec. 1, 1948, in Seattle, she was the daughter of Gene and Mary (Yates) Edmondson.
She enjoyed her job as bookkeeper for Mid-America Cabinets and retired after 18 years with them.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Gene Edmondson.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Edmondson of Siloam Springs; her son, Daniel Newton and wife, Kim of Pauls Valley, Okla.; daughters, Lori Palmore and husband, Foy of Siloam Springs, Jennifer Harper and husband, Josh of Siloam Springs, and Julie Boatright and husband, Ray of Siloam Springs; nine grandchildren, Emily Newton, Cooper Newton, Josiah Newton, Spencer Weaver, Mitchell Masters, Haley Garrett, Macy Harper, Boston Harper and Grace Boatright; and her brother, Ron Edmondson of Seattle.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., today at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs with Pastor Luke Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery. Viewing will be prior to service.
