My father was an electrician by trade. When my mother got sick, he stood by her for years, bathing her, feeding her, shopping, etc. He did it all. He had worked so many places it is hard to keep up. He had his own business for a while and he stayed busy. After my mother passed away in 2011, he came to my house, sat down in the recliner and never left. His last year was full of love and fun with my children, my grandchildren and myself. He was my hero. The day he died, my son told him he loved him, Daddy said it back; he went into the bathroom and fell to the floor. I will never forget the day we lost him. He had only one wish - that his kids would care about each other. He never saw that come true. I've had to say goodbye to several family members. But, a sister and a brother, my children, my grandchildren, my son-in-law, and two nephews all love one another and have a great life. I miss my moma and daddy very much, especially around the holidays.
