John Wayne Love Sr., 75, of Albemarle died Monday, Dec. 1st 2014 in Stanly Regional Medical Center.
His funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday December 4th 2014 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Love’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born March 26, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC he was the son of the late William A. Love and Ocie Helms Love and was retired from the construction business. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Cara Whitley Love of the home. Other survivors include sons Mitchell Wayne Love of New Salem, Rex A. Love and wife Kim of Stanfield, John Wayne Love, Jr. and wife Rhonda of New London, daughters Linda Marie Taylor and fiancé David of Concord, Anna Marie Love of Albemarle, brothers Charles Love of Concord and Bill Love of Stanfield, sisters Janie Barnhardt of Concord and Shirley Wilson of Norwood, 8 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
A grandchild, Mary, preceded him in death.
