Norma Carroll, age 74 of Murfreesboro, died Monday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was a native of Essex, Missouri and a daughter of the late Walter and Ritha Duckworth. She was also preceded in death by her brother Luther Duckworth.
Norma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jesse Carroll; four children, Carlotta Pitts and her husband Dennis and Sandra Vaughn all of Smyrna, Paul Carroll and his wife Janette of Murfreesboro and Todd Carroll and his wife Jennifer of Smyrna; nine grandchildren, Evan, Marissa, William, Kaylea, Shelbie, Kyle, Tyler, Chelsea and Bryson; six great-grandchildren, Emma, James, Addie, Marley, Jason and Libby; a sister Karen Hendrix and her husband Sherrol of Flint, MI; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Norma was a homemaker and an active and faithful member of Scenic Drive Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday at Scenic Drive Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
