Darlene Grate Rodgers, 87, of Frankfort, died Friday, October 14, 2005, at her residence.
She was born November 3, 1917, in Greenfield to the late Edward T. Grate and Dora Blanton Grate.
Darlene was a homemaker and member of the Beech Flats Baptist Church.
She married Lewis E. Rodgers on December 9, 1934, who died October 14, 1998.
She is survived by her children; Judith Ann Wise of Greenfield, Carole Jean (Floyd) Head of Greenfield, Robert E. (Patricia) Rodgers of Jacksonville, Florida, James Gary Rodgers of Columbus, Daniel Paul (Beverly) Rodgers of Springfield, and John Michael (Pamela) Rodgers of Greenfield; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren
and a brother, Robert Grate of Greenfield.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harold H. Wise; two grandsons, Gary Rodgers and Randy Timmons; and three sisters, Doris Skaggs, Esther Karnes and Margene Viera.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at Greenfield Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Evans and the Rev. Gene Parrish officiating.
