Roosevelt Field, L. I., July 1. – The ashes of William H McMullen, wartime pilot, killed last Sunday in a crash at Rutland, Vt., were scattered over Roosevelt Field No. 1, from which he did his first commercial flying seventeen years ago. Richard H Depew of Garden City, who flew with McMullen in 1918, and Jack Shaughnessy of New York, who learned to fly in 1920, took the urn up to 3,000 feet in a Fairchild plane. After the ashes were scattered, the urn was dropped into the sea.
