He is survived by three children: Mary (Michael) Tebbe of Saint Marys; Wade McDermitt of Union City, Indiana; Daniel (Tayla) McDermitt of Saint Marys; by eleven grandchildren; by eight great-grandchildren; by his siblings: Robert (Linda)McDermitt of Saint Marys; Dorothy Wilkins of Saint Marys; by his brother-in-law, Wade William Jung of Sacramento, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Margaret Wehnnes, Betty Rumpff, Evelyn Wheeler, Ruth Howell, Guy McDermitt, Freedus McDermitt.
He had worked at the Weston Paper Mill, Buel Lumber Company, Fisher Cheese, Saint Marys Lumber, Saint Marys Township and the Siferd Hosselman Company. He will be remembered as a great father and provider for his family.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, Pastor Jon Kraner, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Wayne Street United Methodist Church. Condolences may be sent to Norman’s family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
