Benezette - William M. White of here, a sawmill worker, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday at his home. He was 83.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Greer Funeral Home, Penfield, with Rev. Charles Graham officiating. Burial will be in Penfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-10 tonight and from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday.
Mr. White was born Nov. 24, 1877 in Benezette, son of John and Catheryn McCormick White. His wife preceded him in death. A resident of this area for the past 70 years, Mr. White was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, William, Emporium; and Harry, Warren, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. Elvina Ross, St. Mary's; Mrs. Cory Dempsey, DuBois; Mrs. Bessie Walker, Benezette; Mrs. Emma McElroy, Ossining, N.Y.; and Mrs. Sadie Sexton, Benezette; and a brother, Tom, Olean, N.Y.
