John H. Piper Called by Death
Widely Known Lewiston Taxidermist Passes at Home
LEWISTON, Sept. 11.-John H. Piper, widely known taxidermist, died at his home in Third street yesterday, following an Illness of several days. He was 70 years old.
Mr. Piper was a native and lifelong resident of Iewiston. He conducted a taxidermist business here for the past 45 years and was widely known throughout Western New York for his skill in this work. His collection of mounted animals was famous throughout this section. He is survived by his wife, Anna Budde Piper, of this village; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Foley, of Niagara Falls, and one brother, Richard Piper, of Buffalo.
The funeral will be held from the family home at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, with services at St. Peter's church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Riverdale cemetery.
