Jacqueline Anne Linley, 68, of Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4pm to 7.30 pm at 3302 Madeira Cove, Leander, Texas.
Jacqueline was born September 21, 1946 in London, England. She first came to the United States in 1967, going back and forth between the U.S. and England, but always returning to Texas. In the late 1970’s she began working for the Texas Education Agency, where she spent more than 25 years before spending another 10 years working for the University of Texas before her retirement in August 2013. In her spare time she enjoyed music and reading history and was especially known for her fantastic memory.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Candy; and her husband, Travis Linley. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her long-time companion, Reginald Finch; mother, Annie Candy; sister, Dianne Steel and husband John; nephew, Alistair Steel; uncle, Michael Candy and wife Audrey; cousin, Helen Candy; and other loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Jacqueline’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans or a veteran’s related charity of your choice.
