Miss Eddie C Briley was born on October 12, 1889 in Antioch, Davidson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Nelson Briley (ca 1850– ) and Martha Jane (Turner) Briley (1870–1917).
Although the Marriage Announcement published on October 4r, 1909 announced that she had married Arthur Butler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for whatever the reason, Eddie was listed as single and listed by her maiden name when she died 32 years later. When Eddie was 52 years old, she died of general paralysis on April 28, 1942 at Davidson County Hospital where she had been for three years. Burial was two days later in Briley Cemetery at Antioch.
