MUNCIE--Peggy J. Brewer, 78, passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born on Oct. 2, 1936 to Ernest and Rena (Jones) Kiger.
Peggy had worked for Macy's in the cosmetic department for several years and had also worked as a beautician.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Marcus (Eugene) Brewer; daughters, Brenda (Craig) Charles and Pam (Larry) Manet; son, Mark Brewer; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 31 nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Kiger, Darrell Kiger and Joe Kiger; and sisters, Norma Orr, Deloris Scott and Patti Miller.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Eric Stewart and Fran Bullock officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at the funeral home.
