An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Georgia was born in Ellerbe, NC on November 25, 1931 to the late E. P. and Lula Wright. She was a member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church and was retired from Insurance Advisory Committee as office manager.
Georgia had many interests and especially enjoyed teaching ceramics classes as well as serving as a volunteer with Under the Bridge Ministries. She has a great deal of interest in politics and loved playing card games but most importantly, her family was always first.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B. J. Morris, as well as sons Joe Morris and Roger Morris. She was also preceded in death by sisters Lois McNair and Belle Warner.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Morris, (wife Brenda), and a daughter, Mira Barnes Grubb (husband Kim). She is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer, Whitney, Barry, Stephanie, Kevin, Rodney and Aaron, as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
