Justin Walker Simmons, 31 of Summerfield, NC went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 30, 2014.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, at the First Baptist Church in Summerfield.
A graduate of Northwest Guilford High School and GTCC he owned Black Ridge Home Remodeling.
Justin had a great love for people, the mountains and lake life. He loved hanging out with his family and friends by a bonfire playing guitar and telling stories of past childhood adventures.
He is survived by two of his favorite ladies; wife Melissa Marie (Kendrick) and daughter Emma Grace (Gracie) whom he loved "To the Moon and Back", parents, Vince and Tana (Walker) Simmons of Summerfield; sister, Emilee Simmons and Makayla Simmons of Summerfield; parent-in-laws, Keith and Joanne Kendrick of Greensboro; grandmothers, Rachel McDonald (Mee-ma) of Summerfield, Trula Simmons (Granny) of Greensboro and grandmother-in-law Regina Frey (Nana)of Greensboro; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that were more like family.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, December 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home, Brooke Chapel in Stokesdale, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Justin' name to the Discovery Place, 1635 Spencer Mill Road, Burns, TN 37029.
