Mr. Hubert Junior Groce, age 73, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence in Burkesville, Kentucky. He was born on Friday, August 22, 1941 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the son of Hubert and Susie Long Groce. He was a mechanic for Robeson Manufacturing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Groce and William Groce and his sister, Dean Huff.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Holman Groce of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he married on Thursday, February 14, 1991; his son, Mark (and Paula) Groce of Monticello, Kentucky; his step-children, Gary P. Branham of Breeding, Kentucky; Lance A. (and Heidi) Wright of Charlotte, Tennessee; Christy (and Billy) Moore of Charlotte, Tennessee; his brothers, Joe (and Jennifer) Groce; Jimmy (and Stacey) Groce; his sister, Shirley Groce;(all of Burkesville, Kentucky); two special granddaughters, Kaylee Wright and Katelyne Wright, nine step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and special niece, Christie Claywell.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Allen and Bro. David McCarty officiating. Burial will be in the Groce Family Cemetery in Peytonsburg, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
