HATLEY - Celia Fay Finch Dahlem, 85, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory after a long illness. She was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Monroe County to Union Liberty and Edna Nash Finch. She lived in Arkansas for three years in the 1920s and in the Parham community of Monroe County for 82 years. She married H.E. Dahlem on May 2, 1942, in Monroe County. She was a retired seamstress for the Amory Garment Company and a member of the Hatley Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading and sewing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Elder Tim Cunningham and Elder Herman Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Hatley Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, H.E. Dahlem of Hatley; two sons, Earl Dahlem and wife, Dimple, of Pearl and Jimmy Dahlem of Hatley; three grandchildren, Venessa Dahlem of California, Glyn Dahlem and wife, Jennifer, of Raymond, and Amanda Dahlem of Pearl; three great-grandchildren, Maeghan Dahlem of Purvis, and Joey Dahlem and Jonathan Dahlem, both of Raymond; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Sue Majors and Helen Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Vera Patterson, Bertha Miller, Lerah Moreland and Sena Black; and three brothers, Alvin, Oye and Roy Finch.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Wilson, Howard Shields, Van Rogers, Oliver Poore, Tommy Minich and Mike Baughman.

Visitation will continue today until service time.
