Our “gentle giant” cowboy, Scott Mecham Evans, rode back to Heaven to join our Mom and Dad, unexpectedly of a heart attack, on Sunday, November 30, 2014.

Scott was born on May 4, 1973 in Ogden, Utah to Noal Thomas and Grace Mecham Evans. He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1991.

He married Melissa McFarland in the Bountiful LDS Temple, they later divorced. He married and is survived by his best friend, Trish Jarman. He has four step-children, Tara (Jesse) Thompson, Tori (Cory) Christensen, Tyler Wood, Trey Wood, and two grandsons, Drake and Trig.

Scott was the youngest of nine children. He is survived by his siblings who love him and will miss him very much. They are Susan (Steve) Morlock, Noaleen “Bo” (Hugh) Holman, KayLynn (Gary) Grant, Cindy (Brent) Bitton, Todd (Dana) Evans, Connie (Bryan) Malone, Cheri (Kelly) Goss, Heidi (Judd) Kendall. He is also survived by 75 nieces and nephews with whom they had so much fun with their “Uncle Doogie”. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked at Weber Basin Water for over 20 years.

Scott was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he served as a home teacher and Primary teacher.

He loved his dog, “Ace”. He enjoyed doing everything outdoors; HUNTING, rodeoing, HUNTING, camping, HUNTING, archery and HUNTING. Scott was a member of the FFA, Spiker’s Rodeo Club, WTRC and USTRC.

He was an excellent horseman and excelled at team roping, He loved to help others, especially at branding season. He enjoyed teaching anyone that wanted to learn to team rope or hunt. Scott never had an unkind word to say about anyone and was the most honest man around. He always gave 110% in everything he did.
