Frank Derek Sonntag, age 34, beloved son of Vera Sonntag Minner and sisters Bonnie Kaye, Bothell, Dede Snyder, Olympia, Debbie Sonntag, Ellensburg, Becky Fink, Walla Walla. Also numerous nieces & nephews.
His father Frank G. Sonntag preceded him in death.

He died from a tragic fall while enjoying hiking in the Cascades on September 1, 1998. He was born Sept. 23, 1963 in Wenatchee to Frank G. & Vera (Lybolt) Sonntag.

He was a 1981 graduate of Wenatchee High School. He attended Central Washington University and Shoreline Community College. He spent his early years working at the Olympic Four Seasons Hotel and the Sheraton.

Later he was employed by Continental Airlines for several years, owned an espresso business and recently was employed by the Bellevue Convention Center. He was a free spirit who was very creative and loved music, traveling, good food and art. He will be remembered by his family & friends as a kind, gentle soul with a real love of animals.

A celebration of life was held for family at his sister's home in Bothell.
