Ocala - Mr. James W. "Jake" Cason of Williston, Fla. Passed away November 28th 2014 while hunting with his family he was 71. He was born in Ft. White, Florida he came to Williston in 1971 from Ocala, FL.
He vas a member of the Morriston Baptist Church where he was very active and served as a deacon there. He was a former deacon at the First Baptist Church in Williston. He was a Business System Technician for Sprint Telephone Company and was employed there for 39 years. He served the city of Williston as a councilman for 14 yrs. and during this time served on the planning and zoning board. He was past president of C. W. A. Local Union #3176. was past president of the Magee Branch Hunting Club, Member of Florida State Fox Hunters Assoc. Jake was an avid Hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors but his top priority was family, grandchildren and great Grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Marion Cason; sons: Jim and wife Trina Cason, Jason and wife Hallie Cason; daughter: Angela and her husband Jeff Parker; brothers: Wyles and wife Becky Cason Lawrence Cason; sisters: Dorothy Ramoa, Zeke Roberts, Kate and husband Bert Alexander; eight grandchildren and three Great-Grand.
He is pre-deceased by: his parents: Carl and Wilma Cason; one daughter: Suzanne Cason,six brothers: Buddy, Noah, Earl, Robert, Paul and Johnny Cason and one sister: Marie Dorsey. Funeral services will be Tuesday Dec. 2nd 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Morriston Baptist Church with Brother Keith Stewart officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pam at Knauff Funeral Home-Williston. A burial will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
