Thomasene “Toni” Chandler Davis, 99, of Charleston, widow of George Pierce Davis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 1, 2020. Toni was born April 8, 1921 in Cades, SC, the daughter and youngest child of William Thomas and Nettie Jones Chandler. She graduated from Lander College in 1943 and taught English for a number of years until becoming the head librarian at St. Andrews High School in Charleston. Toni was a long-time and active member of Ashley River Baptist Church, teaching children, youth and adult Sunday School for many years. She was also a Meals on Wheels volunteer in Charleston. In Columbia, Toni attended Riverland Hills Baptist Church and participated in the Oasis program and was a Vacation Bible School volunteer.

Toni was predeceased by her parents, husband, sisters, Winnie Allen, and Evelyn Beaty, and brothers, Roland Chandler and Joe Chandler.
