John L. Doster, 86, passed away Friday November 28, 2014.

He was born July 30, 1928 in Pine Bluff.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Kathleen Doster and a granddaughter, Natalie Doster.

John was retired having taught some 35 years as a basketball coach, high school and elementary; principal and classroom teacher at both Fountain Lake and Cutter Morning Star Schools. He also served 2 years in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

John was an avid outdoorsman. One of his great joys was visiting with his many acquaintances and former students. He also loved gardening.

John is survived by his wife, Patsy Doster; one son, John M. (Jonne) Doster; one brother, Frank (Judee) Doster; one granddaughter, Sara (Richard) Goodrum and his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Holland, Chase and Graham.

Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday December 1st at Morning Star Cemetery with Reverend John Walker officiating.

Pallbearers are Tim Teague, David Meredith, Todd Tucker, Tab Tucker, Alex Smith and Darryl Snodgrass. Honorary pallbearers are J.R. Teague, Joe Teague Sr., Troy Tucker, Ed Mosely, William Wood, Charles Smith, Dr. John Bond, Allen Kilby and Dale Vaughn.
