Kay S. Taube, age 69, died Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 due to complications from pneumonia. She was born on September 4th, 1945 to the late William and Elizabeth Swearingen. She was beloved by many, in particular her life partner Steve Kessler and her friend of 57 years, Nancy Toft Brooks of Downers Grove, IL. Kay began her working life as an AODA Counselor and Social Worker for Dodge County. She then transitioned into University administration and retired as an Assistant Dean for Continuing Education with the U.W. Extension in 2009. She was very involved in numerous community and University organizations.
Kay is survived by her life partner, Steve Kessler and her life-long friend, Nancy Toft Brooks, as well as innumerable close friends and former business colleagues. She will also be missed greatly by the international progressive rock community.
Per Kay's wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of her life will take place in the spring.
