Nov. 1, 1765; d. at Gloucester, Jan. 18, 1821, aged 56 [55]. He m1. Mary, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Parsons of Newburyport, April 26, 1791. She was b. June 25, 1771; d. of Smallpox, Oct. 1, 1792. Issue by his first wife: Mary Turner, b. Feb. 5, 1792; m. Samuel Torrey, merchant of Boston, May 31, 1812. They have no children. He m2. Oct. 20, 1795, Sarah S., daughter of John Stevens and Esther (Sargent) Ellery (third child of Winthrop Sargent of Gloucester); she d. at their mansion-house, Franklin Place, Sept. 1, 1839. Their children were: i. Daniel, b. at Gloucester, Jan. 31, 1797; d. April 21, 1814. ii. Esther, b. in Boston, March 11, 1798, Thomas C. Amory, merchant at Boston, Jan. 1, 1820; d. Nov. 16, 1847 at no. 3 Franklin Place. iii. Ignatius, b. at Gloucester, Jan. 20, 1800; m. Sarah Charlotte Gray, Dec. 23, 1828; d. Jan. 17, 1831. iv. Elizabeth Turner, b. Jan. 16, 1802; d. 1819 in Boston.
