Frances Merie Foster, 75, formerly of 120 South Sixth, died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday in Columbia Regional Hospital. She had been in failing health for about five months.
Born Sept. 9, 1904, in Connellsville, she was the daughter of John and Ruth (Van Hoose) Cooley.
Until her retirement several years ago, she worked as a practical nurse and was also an employee of the former Brown Shoe Co.
Twenty-eight years ago, she moved to Moberly from Kirksville. Her memberships included First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were: her husband, and one daughter.
Surviving are: one son, Dennis Foster, Moberly; one daughter, Dorothy McCune, Brewster, Ohio; one brother, George, Moberly; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Lane and Mrs. Pauline Noel, both of Moberly; three grandchildren; one niece; and four nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Million-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Blunt officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation began this afternoon.
