Funeral service for Eddie Harness, age 78 of Fayetteville, conducted at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church with Rev. Van Johnson and Rev. Ed Johnson officiating. Burial in New Sharon Cemetery in Hazel Green, AL. Mr. Harness passed away Sunday at Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Briceville, TN, he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Lillian Cox Harness. Mr. Harness was a retired meat cutter and a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Jacobs Harness of Fayetteville, daughter Deborah Harness (Barry) Yearwood of Ringgold, GA, granddaughter Brittney Megan (Michael Ellis) Lord, twin great-grandsons Matthew Ellis and Clayton Charles Lord, brother Billy Ray Harness and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Harness was preceded in death by great-grandson Brock Dennison Lord, sister Glenna Rose Harness Reynolds (FAG # 83455919) and two infant sisters.
